Eligibility

Essential
Candidates possessing at least 45% marks in the aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree examination of a recognized University provided the applicant has offered at least two school subjects at the first and / or second degree level.

Desirable
It is desirable to restrict admission with 50% or more in the aggregate in the first or second degree examinations wherever such candidates are available.

Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of merit. Merit shall be determined by the performance at qualifying examination and/or by a selection test and/or interview to be conducted by an agency-the institution, university or national/state level- approved by the NCTE. It is desirable that the selection test, where held, may include a test of knowledge of school subject, general knowledge, general awareness and communication ability and skills.
Reservation of seats may be provided in accordance with a constitutional/legislative provisions.

Eligible applicants are ranked on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination (aggregate marks + marks in optional subjects + weighting for post graduation) and marks secured in a Teaching Aptitude Test administered by the college.

A rank list prepared as per the above mentioned norms is published and candidates short-listed are called for interview. Selected candidates are required to produce the original of all the required documents. Admission is made only after verification of the original of the following documents

Documents required to be produced:
1.  SSLC or any valid document as proof of date of birth, parents name etc.
2.  Transfer Certificate (TC) obtained from the institution last attended.
3.  Degree Certificate (Original) - Graduation and post graduation
4.  Mark lists of degree examination and post-graduate examination.
5.  Community Certificate
6.  Nativity Certificate (if required)
7.  Experience Certificate (in case of candidate working/worked as teacher)
8.  Two passport size photographs.
